# What happens after a pump.fun coin graduates?

**For most of them, a long way down.** Of the 12,074 coins that graduated through trading from 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-21, 87% were below half their
graduation price an hour later, and 96% a day later. The median market cap went from 407 SOL at graduation to 19 SOL in that hour. Only
3% were at their graduation price or above a day on.

Measured 2026-10-30 by Hidden Hand Research from the Solana chain, each coin followed through 2026-10-29.

## The numbers

| After | Below graduation price | Below half of it | Below a tenth of it | Median market cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 hour | 92% | 87% | 70% | 19 SOL |
| 1 day | 97% | 96% | 86% | 19 SOL |
| 7 days | 99% | 98% | 93% | 19 SOL |

## How it was measured

Coins that reached PumpSwap through trading within a day of launch, priced in SOL; instant migrations are left out. A coin's graduation price is its last price on the
bonding curve, and its price at a mark is its last trade on PumpSwap before that mark. These are prices, not profits.
