Do pump.fun devs launch again, and does their record matter?

49%

Constantly. Of the 6,486,303 coins launched on pump.fun from 2026-04-18 to 2026-10-28, 49% came from just 6,481 dev wallets that each launched 100 or more. And yes, the record matters: a coin from a dev whose 20+ earlier coins never graduated made it through trading 0.30% of the time, about 6 times less often than a dev's very first coin (1.78%).

Does the dev's record tell you anything?

Share of coins that graduated through trading, by the dev's record at launchFirst coins graduated 1.78%; coins from devs with 20 or more earlier launches and no graduation, 0.30%; coins from devs with at least one earlier graduation, 1.96%.Their first launch1.78%Earlier launches, all under a day old0.81%1 to 4 earlier launches, none graduated1.07%5 to 19 earlier launches, none graduated0.70%20 or more earlier launches, none graduated0.30%At least one earlier launch graduated1.96%
The dev's record counts only what was known at launch: their coins launched at least a day earlier, and how many of those graduated through trading.

Each point is one full week of launches (from Monday), from the week of 2026-05-04: before that, too few devs had a record to judge. Coins from devs with 20+ launches and no graduation came last every single week.

85% of instant migrations (the one-bundle fake caps) came from a dev wallet's only launch: those operators use a fresh wallet every time, which is why the card follows the money too, not just the dev's record.

What it means for you

  • Check the dev before the chart. A dev with dozens of launches and not one graduation is the most common thing on pump.fun, and their next coin almost never makes it (1,110,275 launches, 17% of everything, came from devs like that).
  • A first coin isn't a red flag on its own: first launches graduate 1.78% of the time, a bit above the average of 1.27%.
  • The coin card shows the dev's record (coins launched, how many graduated) right where you trade.

How we measured it

  • Every pump.fun launch since 2026-04-18, from the chain. The dev is the address the coin was created for (its creator-fee address), or the signer when there isn't one.
  • A dev's record at a launch counts only their coins launched at least a day before it, so every outcome in it was already known.
  • Graduated means reached PumpSwap through trading within a day, as in our graduation finding. Instant one-bundle migrations don't count.

What it doesn't tell you

  • These are wallets, not people. One person can run many wallets, and a launch tool can sign for many people. Linking wallets is a separate job, and the card does it.
  • Graduating is one outcome. A dev can graduate coins and still dump on buyers afterwards.
