How long does a pump.fun coin last?

53%

For most of them, about a minute. Of the 1,030,628 coins launched on pump.fun from 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-21, 53% were over within a minute: no trade of 0.05 SOL or more after that. 89% were over within an hour, and only 4% still saw a trade that size a day later. The top comes even sooner: more than half of the coins that traded hit their all-time high within 10 seconds of launch.

What it means for you

  • A launch isn't a market. 25% of launches never see one trade of 0.05 SOL, and most of the rest are done fast.
  • An hour-old coin is already a survivor: 89% are over by then.
  • The high usually comes first. 77% of the coins that traded had hit their all-time high inside a minute, so a green first candle says little about what comes next.

How we measured it

  • Every pump.fun launch from 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-21, each followed on pump.fun and PumpSwap through 2026-10-29, so every coin has 8 days or more.
  • A coin is over at a mark when no trade of 0.05 SOL or more comes after it. Dust bots touch old coins for less, so a coin's last trade of any size says little.
  • A coin's all-time high is its highest trade price, among trades of 0.001 SOL or more. Launches that only ever had the dev's own buy have no trade to measure.

What it doesn't tell you

  • Over means nothing that size in the days we followed. A coin can always come back. Count trades of any size and 38% are over within a minute, 58% within 5 minutes and 77% within an hour.
  • These are Pump's own venues. A coin that moved to another pool isn't followed there.
